Shawn Murphy , M.P. for Charlottetown

I attended parts of a few games of the Spud Minor Hockey Tournament yesterday evening. The opening ceremonies were held at the MacLauchlan Arena at 7:30pm.

This is the 35^th year for the tournament which has about 100 teams from all over Atlantic Canada. I chaired the organizing committee for four years in the mid-90s.

Although cold, the weather should be good for the rest of the weekend.

It is great to see so many families and kids around Charlottetown for the weekend.
