2010 Winter Paralympics
2010-03-03 |
Now that the glow of the great Olympic Games is beginning to slightly fade away, I hope Canadians from coast to coast will embrace with vigor the 2010 Winter Paralympics which are scheduled to open in Vancouver on March 12th, 2010.
Earlier today, I attended the Paralympics Torch Relay Lighting Ceremony in front of Parliament Hill. Colin MacLeod from Murray River represented Prince Edward Island at the ceremony. It was a great event and I hope the hype starts to build right across our country. The games will last for nine days and are open to all eligible disabled athletes in Canada.
Good luck to all our Canadian athletes
